X11IRAF v2.0 beta: XAPPHOT problems on Mac

Hello,

I have installed X11IRAF v2.0 beta on my Mac (OS 10.5.6). I am using IRAF v2.14 and XQuartz v2.3.2. In trying to run XAPPHOT, I run into fatal errors. When I try to run the XGEX1 demo, xgterm crashes with a seg. fault (or a bus error, I can't remember which -- the other happens when I try the same thing under 8-bit color). When I try to load an image of my own, it loads as a series of horizontal lines until I resize the GUI window.

I went back and re-installed X11IRAF v1.5, and everything works fine under 8-bit color (but of course not under 32-bit).

Any suggestions?
