Windows Vista PC-IRAF version
Guest wrote on Nov 18, 2008
I would like to install IRAF on my PC which is running
Windows Vista. Is there a version of PC-IRAF that can be
installed on my machine? If so, could you provide
step-by-step directions, please? If not, do you have any
recommendations about how I might install IRAF, i.e.,
splitting my hard drive?
Thank you,

PC-IRAF is known to work under Vista, but you'll need to have Cygwin and X11 installed first along with a C-shell (see cygwin.com). The core IRAF distribution is the same for all platforms, you'll need to get the ib.cygw.x86 and nb.cygw.x86 binaries.
