graphics window fails to pop up

Hello,

My system administrator installed IRAF on my Sun Ultra-1 running
Solaris 9. IRAF comes up "Revision 2.12.2-Export Jan 25, 2004
Sun/IRAF V2.12"

The graphics window does not pop up when I use the task "graph".
The meta-data is sent to the text window. I'm using
> show stdgraph
xtermjh

What can I do to get the graphics window to work?

Be sure you're actually using an XTerm window. Garbage to the screen is
almost always a terminal mis-match or simply using a non-graphics terminal
window.
