IRAF and scientific linux
Guest wrote on Jan 05, 2006
I'm trying to run IRAF on scientific linux - are there any know problems with compatibility? I can't get some tasks such as ccdproc to work - they are running but not actually doing anything.
Thanks

Another user at your site wrote in with xgterm/ximtool
questions but otherwise we have no direct experience
with scientific linux. According to their website it is just
a rework of Enterprise linux so I wouldn't expect any
problems. Your CCDPROC problem though may just
be that e.g. you don't do any dark processing because
none of the images have an OBJECT=DARK keyword
and the task thinks there is nothing to process. See
"step 13" in the CCDPROC help page or search the
forums for more about this.
