Dear Sir,

I have a home PC with following make and config.

Compaq Presario Desktop SR 1530IL with Intel Pentium 4 Processor 519K
(Intel EM64T) 64-bit technology (1 MB L2 catche, 3.06 GhZ, 533 MHZ FSB),
512 MB DDR RAM, 80GB Hard Disk. Intel Graphic Media Accelerator with
AL1714 Accer LCD Monitor.

OS-TurboLinux

I want to work with IRAF on it. Request kindly suggest for right choice of
IRAF software with adequate display downloadable from your site and
installation procedures.

Hi BC,
The LNUX distribution of PC-IRAF should work on your machine
(it is really the OS version that matters). You'll need the three
distribution files

ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v212/PCIX/patch2a/as.pcix.gen.gz
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v212/PCIX/patch2a/ib.lnux.x86.gz
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v212/PCIX/patch2a/nb.lnux.x86.gz

for the latest V2.12.2a version of the system. See also the installation
guide (pciraf.ps.gz) and Site Manager's guide (unixsmg.ps.gz) from the
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v212/PCIX main directory. Hope this helps.
