Problem installing IRAF with Linux Suse V6.x through V9.x
Guest wrote on Nov 23, 2005
   Dear Sir/Madam,
I am trying to install the last IRAF
version in a PC with SuSE Linux V6 thru V9.
We have already downloaded the patch proposed
in your web pages and we have followed the
   recomended instructions. However, the following
error measage appears when trying to use
any IRAF task (example with splot):
   "PANIC  in '/usr/local/iraf/noao/bin.suse/x_ onedspec.e':
   Memory has been corrupted"
The problem can not come from the data, as
they are treated without problems with the IRAF
    installed in a different machine.
Thank you very much for your help.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
      Best regards,
