A problem with the DICTSIZE

Guest wrote on Nov 11, 2005

Hello,
I had a question for the IRAF support team.

I am working with the IRAF version 2.12.2-EXPORT.

I am writing an cl-script an I need to load lots of local variables.
When I try to run my script I get a "dictionary full".

I have looked up the FAQ section in the IRAF website
(http://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/web/faq/FAQsec09.html#9012) so I know I would
need to increase the size of the CL's dictionary.
To do this, according to the instructions in the web:

cl> edit pkg$cl/config.h
...change DICTSIZE from its current value to something
larger (say, 50% larger)
% cd $iraf/pkg/cl
% mkpkg update

My only config.h file is located at the iraf/unix/hlib directory, and
does not contain a variable called DICTSIZE.

I would like to know if you can help me to get to change the CL's
dictionary size.

Thanks in advance,
Cristina Diaz Lopez
