Problems with iraf and fedora core 3
Guest wrote on Oct 19, 2005
Dear Sirs,
I have recently installed fedora core v. 3 on my computer and after
that I installed iraf. I already used the patch that you recomended for
the xgterm fedora, however I found that when using for instance qphot if
I want to get with the usual stdgraph window for visualising the profile
or contours
or a plot of the apertures, it does not show the expected window for
analysis. Same thing with imexamine. I tried to get it by using the
standard
shortcut keywords, but it does not respond at all.
Did I miss something else in the installation besides the patch
mentioned?.
Did you get a similar problem before?. I do not know whether the problem
can be in the compatibility of the operating system and iraf, or I did
something
wrong in the installation since I am not an expert in that matter.
I would appreciate to hearing from you asap since I really need this
program
to work completely for my daily work. I have checked the list of
frequent questions and did not find anything similar.
Many Thanks,
Dolores Pérez
