Tool to analyze allsky and normal ccd camera images?

Hi!
I was looking Linux programs to analyze allsky and other camera images and found IRAF.net web page.
Not sure, but is there programs in IRAF that can analyze sky images to generate FITS images? Or anything else that can try to find stars from ccd images? Generate starmaps etc?
What iam trying to do is analyze images that video to image stacking software UHVO for Linux is generating. If someone is interested, it can be found here https://sites.google.com/site/linuxuhvo/ and its free.
Is there anything similiar in IRAF?

I don't think IRAF is the package you are looking for. While it does contain tasks that might be used to detect stars, it doesn't have anything that specifically understands all-sky images and certainly nothing to create starmaps. The best you could get would be a list of (x,y) positions of possible detections, but no real way of knowing the sky coords of those objects.
If you're looking for a way to create FITS file from jpg/png formats, have a look at the ImageMagick package CONVERT task.
