Citing IRAF in paper
will.flanagan wrote on May 11, 2009
Hi IRAFers,
I was wondering if there is any standard way of citing IRAF in a paper. From the papers I've seen, it seems most common just to say something like "we made use of IRAF packages x, y, and z. NOAO pays the bills for IRAF." in the body of the text.
I was just curious if there was a standard way to cite IRAF in a bibliography.
Cheers and thank for any suggestions,
Will

Cheers fitz!
Thats exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. I'm down at CTIO, so I was hoping to give some credit to the NOAO IRAF people if/when we publish.
