New York Times article on R (January 7, 2009)

Today there was a New York Times article "Data Analysts Captivated by R’s Power ". R is a very popular statistics program. I think of IRAF and R as being very similar style environments. Thanks, that's interesting. I see R mentioned quite often but it sounds quite focused on stats so I haven't tried it yet.. It would be interesting to have a better feel for how it complements IRAF and Python.
