rotate a FITS file and update the WCS information (arbitrary angle)

Hi,

I had been struggling with the following problem. I have a FITS image, which I would like to compare to another FITS image. I found the task " imrot" in IRAF under wcstools, which performs this task, but unfortunately only for multiples of 90. I was wondering if there was any package in IRAF which would let me rotate my image to any arbitrary angle and update the WCS information, too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not surprisingly, it's the ROTATE task you're after. See the help page.
