problem with scombine

giannicatanzaro wrote on Jul 29, 2011

when I try to combine 1D spectra with scombine I get the error
"no input spectra to combine" even, of course, if the input spectra
are present.
I run 64bit version of iraf in a suse 11.3 box

someone could help me?

Gianni

The message basically means the task didn't find anything it considered a spectrum it could combine. This could just mean the image has an unknown header format, could you post the header here or upload a sample image to the anonftp at ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub so we can have a look. Also, you might get a patched x_scombine.e binary from ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v215/support/linux64 in case this is a problem that's already been fixed.
