mkiraf

Hi,
These days I run iraf to do data reduction but the iraf terminal and
graphics window disappeared on the half way. There is no error report.
If I use other people's machine to do the same task, everything runs well.
What I did on my machine is I mkiraf to my home directory in a local
machine which is the salaris system (installed with iraf), and run
iraf to do the data reduction on a remote machine( which is linux,
installed with iraf). Every time I login to my local machine first and then
ssh to a remote machine, after that, I go to my home directory from
the remote machine to run iraf. I thought the problem may have relation
with this, but I have already tried to mkiraf from the remote machine to
my home directory, unfortunately, the problem still happened.
I have no idea about this, is someone met this problem the same as me?

I don't quite understand your problem, are you saying that the terminal window disappears when you login to the remote linux box when you run IRAF? Is this an XTerm or an XGterm window? Is it running on the Solaris box (x86 or sparc?) or do you login to the remote machine and then start a terminal that displays on the solaris machine? What task are you running at the time?
