Imalign does not align my images correctly

Hello
I am using imalign to align images that I want to use for stacking. When I run imalign I get shifting results very close to my estimation values in my shifts-file. It seems that the output files get trimmed and not shifted.
The FWHM of an average star is in the region of 6.5 where the centering box is 7 and the big box is 11.
When the output images are put together with imcombine it is as if the initial, unaligned images are combined.
Thank you

My first thought is that your box sizes seem a bit small (by about half) for the FWHM size you quote, have you tried increasing these from the defaults? You also don't mention any error messages or warnings being printed, we there any? You can disable the image trimming with the 'trimimages' parameter, otherwise could you post more information and perhaps data files so we can have a closer look?
