IRAF build for Solaris 10 Sparc w/ gcc/g77 not Sun compile

Sorry if this has been asked before, i'm new to the IRAF installation process.
Are there instructions to build IRAF from source using the GNU gcc/g77 compilers and not relying on the Sun SparcWorks C and Fortran compilers? i'm using GCC compilers from SunFreeware and I think I need to build from source because some of the extern packages do not have Solaris Sparc binaries and it seems like the current binaries for IRAF are relying on the Sun compilers. Specifically libM77.so.4 appears to be missing from my system.

Sorry, but GCC/G77 isn't currently supported for Sun/Sparc. In principle it would be a simple port assuming we had the hardware to do it, however it would probably be simpler to supply binaries for the package if you tell me which package you need.
BTW, have you checked the ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/extern directory to see if the binaries exist in there?

Good information to know about gcc/g77 not supported, glad I asked! Binaries will work just fine...the packages are:
ctio I see it on the noao.edu site.
fitsutil no binaries on either iraf.net or noao.edu website

mtools "
rsvao "
stsdas 3.11/apropos didn't install for me when I issued the mkapropos command as described in the install notes. i believe that's when I first noticed the libM77 missing message.
i was google searching and ran across an anonymous ftp command and I think the iraf.net website didn't show some of the Sun Sparc binaries but the command line did. I think it might have been for ctio and fitsutil.
It will probably take me a horrendous amount of time to convert iraf to GNU GCC but I willing to give it a try if you wanted me to. Not sure if it's worth it for the community in the long run since Sparc is slolwy dying. Thanks for all your help, wish I asked the question sooner.

I've added binaries for the packages you list to the ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/extern site. You can get Sparc binaries for (older) STSDAS/TABLES versions from http://www.stsci.edu/resources/software_hardware/stsdas/old_versions
TABLES hasn't actually changed in a while so whatever binaries you do find will work fine. See the changelogs for STSDAS to see whether you specifically need 3.11 or if an older version will do. Also, the REFERENCES task can be used instead of APROPOS

The mtools-bin, rvsao-2.7.6-bin and mtools-bin are named "sparc" not ssun, is it SunOS Sparc or is it Solaris Sparc? also noticed that the rvsao is 2.7.6 not 2.7.8 but I don't know that it will really matter for us yet.

Sorry, i guess i'm lolo, I don't see the ssun tar's for msred, mtools or rvsao. I see the sparc files that install in bin.sparc though.
