Phot on Multiple Images

I have a sinking feeling that I know the answer to this given the reading I've done.
Is there a method for running PHOT on several (150+) images at once (currently I'm manually opening each image, working with it, close it, move on to the next)? If there is, is there a guide, outline, or other reference somewhere for me to look at how it's arranged?
My sinking feeling from what I've read is that if this is even possible, it's done with as a batch from the OS end and not in IRAF, and I'm about as UNIX/LINUX saavy as a post these days.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question, but PHOT already takes a list of images, e.g. "cl> phot *.fits" or "cl> phot @inlist". Turn off the 'interactive' parameter and the task can be run in the background. Won't this work?

I think I've tried everything around that except that. I may be revisiting the topic in a day or two, but let me make sure that's something I've tried.
