dispaxis in apall task

hi,
i'm using IRAF version V 2.14 and currently going through exercises in extracting spectrums.in the tutorial in extracting spectrums, in apall task they have mentioned about a dispaxis task.but in the version i use,no such task exist....since my data are in the horizontal axis how do i carry out extraction?

The 'dispaxis' is a package parameter, i.e. do an "epar apextract" to set it.

thanks a lot for the quick reply. i tried epar apextract but it does not exist.could you please elaborate more on this issue.

Type 'twodspec' to be sure the TWODSPEC package is loaded (you'll need to similarly type 'apextract' to load that package). The epar command is issued from the CL prompt.
