Finding sigma of a source(in pixels)??

I understand imexamine can give me a sigma value for an image, but as i see it-that is a sigma of pixel values. What i am looking for is a sigma(stdev) in pixels from the center of a source. Imexam can give me a FWHM measurement, which i can relate to sigma but that is a column measurement i believe.

Anyone know of something that can accomplish this? Thank you in advance.
