Dopcor errors and multi-fibre exposures

Hi,
I'm fairly new to IRAF and I'm trying to use dopcor to correct for heliocentric velocities. I'm using a few different forms of data with ESO headers: some work fine, but some don't. I get:
onedspec> dopcor science.fits rebinned.fits 1000 isvel+
Warning: [science.fits] has no dispersion function
Presumably I'm missing a keyword in the header or such like, any ideas which one?
I really want to correct all the spectra from a multi-fibre instrument data product.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?

The next step in getting some help would be to post the image header listing (i.e. imheader science.fits l+).
