how to convert 2d ascii file into *.fits

I want to convert CCD data into IRAF. I've searched the forum, and know that rspectext & wspectext can convert one-dimensional spectral files. But how to deal with 2D spectral files?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

See the RTEXTIMAGE task, it is similar to RSPECTEXT.
