phot error

Hello, i'm trying to do photometry again and i went to a reinstall of my linux and now something is not working or it is misconfigured... i think that may be a coords input or output... or the display device... irafterm looks fine on plots and imexamine and ds9 works fine... but i juct can't get the phot to interact with me... this is the output... and some of my lpar phot.... Thanks

The warning about graphics overlay is normal and nothing to worry about. Not being able to create the .coo file may be a result of reinstalling linux, e.g. you saved the user directories but in the new install the user-id was changed and so you no longer have write permission in the directory. Likewise, be sure the file doesn't already exist.

i was stranged about the .coo file... i never needed for doing photometry in the past install... BUT... i read something about daofind creating those .coo files... and i epared daofind and ran it, and it created a .coo file... now phot runs OK, but what is the function of the daofind .coo file anyway? i'm running phot interactively... isn't it supposed to grab the coordinates that i input in DS9, and snap to the centroid and all that?
thanks,
thanks,
