Finding the Flux

Hi,
I have a wavelength vs flux spectra and I want to find the flux at a certain wavelength, is there a way of having IRAF do this non-interactivley?
Thanks.
David.

There are several ways depending on what you're trying to do: The LISTPIX task (with wcs=world) will list the wavelength vs flux pairs as a text file and you could select from that list. SCOPY will let you similarly copy out a small section of the spectra and optionally rebin to specific start/end values, combined with LISTPIX this would give you a more precise list you could sum to get an integrated flux. Lastly, if what you want is some bit of functionality found in SPLOT, see the BPLOT task as a way to do that non-interively.

Hi mike,
Thanks very much for your reply. Will try all of these and see which turns out the best.
Thanks again,
David.
