Subtracting images

Hi,
Is it possible to subtract one image from another using iraf??

I have filtered the same image to varying degrees so that I can create a baseline image which I would like to subtract from the original image.

See the IMARITH and IMEXPR task help pages if you want to do just a simple pixel-by-pixel subtraction. There are other tasks that are needed to do e.g. PSF matching or sky fitting prior to subtraction.
