segmentation violation

I edit imcombine params file by doing epar imcombine but when I try to save
the parameters and quit with ^D :go :wq....I have tried all the things I know
always replay segmentation violation and the parameters are not changed.
Any ideas?? . Please answer to pepa@iaa.es

What version of IRAF and which OS is this? Does it happen only with the IMCOMBINE task or with any task you epar? What parameters were you setting and does setting different parameters cause different behavior? Lastly, try to 'unlearn imcombine' and/or do a new MKIRAF and reinitialize your uparm directory, does this make a difference?
