apextract-apall-edit apertures for… error

tomph wrote on Mar 21, 2008

Hi again
To recap I am using cygwin, everything has been working until this point.
I am using apall on raw images to extract spectra, i believe i should have a graph appear when it has worked correctly.

I have used epar apall to set up most the options the way i have been told i need them. When i run apall command on my image (rigel.fits) i get a bunch of confirmatory messages which are no problem but when i get the option:

Edit apertures for rigel? (yes):

if i confirm that yes i want to do this the following occurs...

# emulation.

And the console does not allow me to do any more than press ctrl-z to exit to xterm and start over. I get a similar problem with one of the other review options i can state which option this is if you think it will help.

One of my thoughts is that there is something else i need to download from the cygwin setup.

Thanks very much

Tom

you run that in xterm, didn't you?
if so, try that in xgterm environment.
