iraf on ubuntu
Guest wrote on Dec 14, 2007
Hello.
I am about to install IRAF on a PC running with linux Ubuntu distribution
6.10
I was wondering if I need to use either .linux or .linuxppc binaries.
Also, do I need to install any patches with Ubuntu?
I thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,

Installing IRAF on Ubuntu 6.10:

Installing IRAF on Ubuntu 7.04:

Pretty much the same. I documented the 7.04 one so I can just refer everyone at work that asks me how to install IRAF to it. It's pretty much the same as 6.10. I kept local copies on my site of some .deb files you'll need and updated some of the wget commands to the latest versions (at the time) Other than that, mjhutchinson deserves the credit.
