ydistcor error

Hi All,

I have been doing a low-dispersion reduction in IRAF. When I do a ydistcor, in which I use Neon lamp as a reference image I get the following error:

ERROR on line 154: smw_mw: spectrum not found

I do not where this line is and do not know what I should do. I have used the same spectrum and the same set of commands to reduce and it has worked. How come it worked before and now all of a sudden it stops working?

Trillian,

YDISTCOR appears to be a local Keck script (ain't Google great). The message generically means that the requested line number can't be found in the image. My guess is that the x1/x2 parameters may be set incorrectly, or perhaps there is a problem with the DISPAXIS keyword or parameter making the task think the spectra run in the other axis. The SLIST task can be useful in printing out information about what the systems thinks is in the image, you might also turn on the 'd_trace' toggle to get a better idea of which task is causing the error.
