The help file says I can define a 2-d array real x[20,20] but the I get error messages but I get an error message when I do. Is this an iraf/pyraf thing?

How do I declare a 2d array in pyraf?

The release notes for the latest PyRAF mention that support for multidimensional arrays has now been added, by inference they were not supported in earlier releases.
