IRAF on Intel Mac

Hi All,

I am new to intel macs and I would like to install IRAF on mac. I looked for documentation but did not find it. How do I go about installing IRAF on mac? If there is any detailed guide please send me the link. Macintosh iraf webpage has only for PPC and not fore Intel. Please help me understand what I should do once I download the core IRAF file with gz extension.

The installation guide is available at http://iraf.net/irafdocs/pciraf/, the procedures are the same for all platforms, only the names of the binaries differ. Note this is the "traditional" installation methode and separate from anything done elsewhere with .dmg files or in systems like Scisoft. An automatic network installation is planned for the final V2.13 release (expected shortly).
