IRAF information

Hi P.,
The file is a compressed Postscript document, be sure that you
downloaded it in binary mode and that once on your end you uncompress
it. We had reports that the linux 'ggv' postscript viewer has problems
with some of the older documents on some versions but other viewers like
'ghostview' will work fine. Also, there is an uncompressed version and
a PDF of the document available at
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub/beguide.ps
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub/beguide.pdf
in case you can't get these working.
Other docs are available from the ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/docs
directory, see the README there for a table of contents. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Mike Fitzpatrick
