composite spectrum

Hi

first sorry if this question already has been asked, I try to find did someone ask this before but without success.

I am trying to create composite 1D galaxy spectrum from 4 single 1D spectra (different galaxies).

I know how to shift all spectra in their rest frame using dopcor task.

After this I am trying to stack my spectra in imcombine task (but without success). Is this right task for creating composite spectra or there is maybe some another task in IRAF?

Any advices or guid lines what should I use or where to look
