Hello,
I am using task kpnoslit/identify. It works if I accept all the identifies lines and write in the database. Since the fit is not so good, I need to delete a few unfit lines to make a better fit. As soon as I do that, I got error:
PANIC in `/iraf/iraf/noao/bin.redhat/x_daophot.e': Memory has been corrupted
then the task would die.
How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Ping

Sorry for the slow reply. I assume the error is in the x_onedspec.e binary and not x_daophot.e since you are using the IDENTIFY task?
There were similar reports of this in 2004/2005 but no resolution as far as I can tell since it was never reproducible. Because you have the 'redhat' architecture I assume this is v2.14 or earlier and it's possible this is fixed in a more recent version, but could you please confirm what version you are using and upload any sample data and parameters to the anonftp at ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub so we can try to reproduce the problem if it is still present.
