better than rspectext - no constant step

Hello everyone.
I have to pass from ascii (flux, wavelenght) to fits for worknig in iraf with this spectrum.
I am using rspectext.
The point is the step (difference between one wavelenght and the next one) is not fixed through the whole spectrum we have. In fact the step change more or less linearly with wavelenght.
As rspectext provides dispersion solutions only with fixed step, if after I do wspectext I don't get the original spectrum (I don't get the same wavelenghts back).
Some thought?
Thanks,
rubén
