imarith floating point invalid operation

I'm getting this error when I try to run imarith on a set of 2min exposures I have. The odd thing is that it works fine for both 30sec and 60sec exposure times of the same night.
I am trying to subtract the dark from the light, and it comes up

The thing is, I've checked all the images in ds9 and they all look fine. Usually when there is a problem, ds9 won't open them.
It seems to be that only the 2 minute exposures from one night don't work, and I'm not sure why.
Any suggestions for even just troubleshooting?

An invalid operation can occur when there is a floating-point under/overflow, and operation on a NaN pixel, etc. Does an IMSTAT on the image show exceptionally large/small pixel values that might cause a problem when computing the difference? Does setting the 'calctype' parameter to 'double' let the operation continue?
