cant plot colored curves

Just trying to make a simple color graph with IRAF, but the curve isn't colored. I used this command:
$ graph perfil.dat color=5
How to make different color curves?
(I'm running Fedora 13, using xterm and IRAF version is 2.14)

Unless it's a typo.....'xterm' doesn't do color graphics, you need to use XGterm.
