wcsctran and SIP

Hello,
I would like to use wcsctran (or an equivalent task) to convert a list of pixel coordinates on an image to a list of RA/DEC sky coordinates using the WCS defined in the image header. However, I also need the conversion to respect the SIP distortion parameters in the header. I believe that wcsctran will respect the TNX convention, but not SIP.
Is there a task similar to wcsctran that will correctly interpret SIP header parameters?
I have been using ds9 region lists as a workaround, but this is, of course, slow.
Thanks for any help.

Try the 'xy2sky' task in the WCSTOOLS standalone package from SAO, I believe SIP is supported directly.
