apall not extracting multi-spectra

Hello.
I am having a problem with the updated version of iraf (12.1.1) where
apall appears to be extracting only the source spectrum without the
sky or error. The resultant file from apall is an ms.fits file,
generated with apall with the extras flag checked to yes and the
multispec option for output. Running the same apall parameters in
12.1 appears to give the extra error and sky bands in the output. Are
their any options that had been changed between versions to cause
apall to not output the errors?
