Equivalent Width

Hello All,

I would like to know more about the equivalent width (EW) calculations that IRAF does in the SPLOT task ( using the "e" key). Were could I get information of how it computes EW?

I looked up on the following URL: (http://stsdas.stsci.edu/gethelp/HelpSys.html) and searched for SPLOT but did not get more than what's in IRAF.

See the SPLOT help page section titled "CENTROID, FLUX, AND EQUIVALENT WIDTH DETERMINATIONS".

Otherwise, exactly what more do you need to know?
