dohydra wavelength calibration

greensilverfish wrote on Aug 21, 2009

I am working on reducing some hydra data taken at the wiyn telescope. When I reduce the data either the wavelength calibration comes out wrong (spectra were taken from 4000-5250 angstroms, but solution is from 3577 to 5250 angstroms) or there is a gap introduced into the center of the spectra (spectra runs from 0 to 6000 angstroms) I have set all the parameters to the settings in hydrawyin manual version 5. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

I can't answer the specific question, but see the 'Docs' link on the banner bar, especially http://iraf.net/irafdocs/dohydra/
