Problem with apphot

Sir,
I got some problem in reducing the data with package apphot. I have been trying to use both qphot and phot task within apphot but some warning message came like below----
Warning: Graphics overlay not available for display device.
Moreover after going to ds9 and hitting "s" by selecting some bright star i got message like these------

And also, when i put "r" it is showing----
No coordinate list
Actually, amongest phot and qphot which one will give me best result for aperature photometry.
Kindly help at your earliest.
