help with splot deblending files
physicschick wrote on Jul 02, 2009
Hi,
I am using splot to deblend combinations of emission and absorption features. I believe I am using the deblending command correctly; I have used it many times by indicating the centers with tick marks and have received reasonable results. But now I am trying to use the "file" option so that I may specify the centers and widths more accurately. However, for some reason my file is not being recognized. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Please provide a little more information about "not being recognized". You can send task parameters from lpar splot and/or describe in words the steps you take and what happens. For example, I have a plot. I type 'd' and respond with ..., etc. Then I see ... rather than seeing my lines marked. You can also send the file you are wanting to use to check for content misunderstandings.

Thank you for the reply. I have since been able to fix my error somehow, although I am still not sure what my original error was. Thank you again!
