Hi :x
I must be stupit but how do you exit mkcatalog, or to put it another way what are the kaystrokes to get the <EOF> chatacter ^Z, because I have tried typing
shiht-^-Z - illigal command
cntrl-Z - exit IRAF alltogether
alt-cntrl-Z - exit iraf ...
cntrl-shift-Z - illigal command
<EOF> - illigal command
and on and on
I am frustrated beyond words, because my own catalogs isn't in the correct format, and I thus need mkcatalog to create the neseccary catalogs with the correct format.
PLEASE HELP
Thanx
Pat

Pat,
Most likely your EOF character is Ctrl-D. You can verify this using the "stty -a" command at the unix prompt and look for the 'eof' value.
