Near Infrared data reduction

Hello everybody !!
is there any IRAF package specially suited for infrared data reduction ( sky substraction, shift and aling, ...) ?
Or, do you know any IRAF tutorial/guide for that kind of data reduction ?

Hi,
There are the external packages xdimsum and dimsum (the older version) that supports dithered, deep IR imaging. There is also an instrument specific package called sqiid and upsqiid. Some are available on this site and others at ftp://iraf.noao.edu/extern. There may be others that I am not aware of. The CCD reductions packages ccdred and mscred might also prove useful though they are not designed specifically for IR data.
Finally, we hope to release some new packages early next year that are specifically for IR data.
Others may comment on documents for reducing IR data. The dimsum package has a usage tutorial which gives a little flavor. Note that this package is only for sky subtraction, registration, and stacking. Dark, flat, and non-linearity corrections must be handled separately with something like ccdproc or upsqiid.
You might write to Mike Merrill (mmerrill@noao.edu) for his advice.
