Problem with identify

wollery wrote on Aug 20, 2007

We're doing spectral reduction on ESO data and everything is fine until we run identify. It seems to work okay, but when we try to run reidentify or fitcoords they give an error message saying that no coordinates can be found in the database. Identify is writing the coordinates to a file in the database but it seems they can't be found by the other programs.

Hi,

There are a few potential reasons this might happen which will appear mysterious. Please send parameter listings, database outputs, and header listings for a case that is failing. I can use a header listing to make a dummy image and I can set the database file up so that when I run identify/reidentify/fitcoords with the parameters you send I should reproduce your problem.

Yours,
Frank Valdes
