rvidlines not fitting velocities
msoey wrote on Jul 25, 2007
Hello,
When I run rvidlines, it identifies the spectral features correctly
from my line list. However, it does not fit the velocities.
It correctly shows the observed and rest velocities, but it shows
a fitted velocity of 0. for each line, and if I hit 'f' to fit the
velocities, it also gives 0. for the fitted velocities.
Has anyone seen this?? Any help appreciated!
Below is an example of the logfile output. I believe the velocity
of 1.44 is the heliocentric velocity for an observed velocity of 0.
The difference should correspond to more like 150 km s-1.
Thanks,
Sally Oey

Hi Sally,
Having been away from this task for quite a while I am also a little confused. Could you send me the spectrum and the database file?

This is happening for me, too.
