Hello,
In mscred/mscgetcatalog, there used to be a option to set
catalog="gsc2@stsci"
Seems it's no longer available, right?
Thanks,
Ping

Right, the GSC2 doesn't appear to be an option in the lastest version. However, you can use the ASTCAT package in ASTUTIL (core system) to get at it, however you'll need to deal with the extensions yourself. Other catalog tools will be coming on line shortly and Frank may comment as well.

Hi Ping,
Actually mscgetcatalog uses astcat.agetcat to access gsc2@stsci.edu. What agetcat does is open a connection to stsci and query for data. It appears that site is no longer available. You could use gsc1@cadc. Other than that you will need to get the data interactively from some website.
Yours,
Frank
