mscimage error
llevy wrote on Apr 07, 2007
I'm trying to make a single image from a MEF image. I am running mscimage with the infile as the MEF image and some outfile. I am not using a reference file, and fluxconservation is off. Everything else is left as the default values. When I do this, I get the following error message:
ERROR on line 345: Kernel section syntax not supported for this image (tmp1016bb)
and a tmp1016.fits file is created, but not the single image.
I would appreciate any help
thanks

Hi,
I hope you may have resolved this but if not I'm sorry for not replying sooner. The message has to do with something the script task is doing to append things to the file names. It sounds like things are essentially the defaults which should work. I would need to get more details to understand the source of the problem. These would include
show imtype
If you want me to look at this I suggest I get a file and repeat what you are doing. If you want to do this put a file in our anonymous ftp are at ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub and send me a note (valdes@noao.edu).
