centering algorithm for fitpsf
Guest wrote on Oct 24, 2006
Hello,
I am using the task "fitpsf" (noao.digiphot.apphot) with a list of
coordinates. I would like to know if there is a possibility of fixing
the center without allowing the task to search for it (the center, the
brightest source nearby). I know that this option is available for the
"phot" task (for instance) by constraining "calgorithm" or "centerpars"
to be "None" in place of "centroid", "gauss", etc...
Have a nice day,
Sincerely yours,

You might want to try constraining the fit by specifying a value for 'box'. This limits the fit to a specific subraster of the image.
