help on IRAF task ‘ellipse’

Hi,
I need to determine the goodness of an ellipse fit for a galaxy. What is
the best way to do this using the output parameters of ellipse: A3, A4,
B3, B4, and ABIG? I understand that A3,4 and B3,4 give certain deviations
from perfect ellipticity, but I would like a single measure of the
goodness of the fit. Should I be plotting ABIG/A4 as a function of
radius?
Thank you,

If you don't get a response in this forum, you might try the STScI helpdesk (help@stsci.edu) since this is their task.
